The new owner has truly made a positive change at this restaurant. The place is now clean and inviting, the staff are friendly, and there were plenty of families dining there. It was nice to see the kids having fun. I will definitely be returning when the food is being served.

I have been to this restaurant several times with friends and family for both food and drinks. The food is reasonably priced and I definitely recommend stopping by for a meal. There is always a great atmosphere with good vibes and friendly staff. The staff are friendly, talkative, and always available to help with any questions. There is also a good selection of gins available. I will definitely be visiting again!

Took a shot at getting a table for a drink. We did try to book in line with the booking routine advertised but nobody responds. So we took a punt to give it a chance. Lots of free tables but soon fills up. Great atmosphere. The service is good, prices good value and every table has a track and trace code and staff ask you to make sure you check in. They are fully masked. They take cards and cash. Full table service and they’ve got an arrangement to get good food delivered in. 2 reasons it didn’t get 5 toilets state 1 at a time but you go in and 3 people already in and many without masks, nobody challenges the behaviour. We’re all responsible to follow the rules folks. Secondly you’re having a drink, planning on a couple then told the table is reserved but no sign on it. So your 3 drinks becomes 1. They’re wooden tables, it’s easy to staple a note to say what time it’s booked from. Help us out folks.

In October I wrote a bad review, I have since been back twice on a Monday, any meal £5 and had our second meal any meal £5. Tonight was 5 of us, well done Jake, you have really pulled this back, excellent meals all tonight, thank you! Recommend the mixed grill, the mini mixed grill and the chicken pollo x 2. The steak pudding and pie is to die for, my husbands speciality’s I totally recommend you at the helm cooking with Jess as supporting the bar, well worth a visit, we all recommend it. This pub is a hidden gem with a fantastic atmosphere. The new menu is definitely worth trying and the service from the friendly staff was excellent. I will definitely be returning.
