Icestone Gelato - Kirklees

Thanks to the tall man who i should have caught his name(perhaps; store manager, Kully as per the other reviews), but was particularly attentive, quick and kind. Served my jam roly poly in a blink of an eye and offered me a discount. Thank you.

So yeah the desserts taste okay but my God the portions have shrunk to less than half of what it was few months back and it's not a cheap place to start with. We will not be going back after tonight very disapointed.

Yesterday, was my brother’s birthday. Instead of a birthday cake he wanted a variety of desserts. We decided to try Icestone as we always go to Heavenly Desserts. I placed an order of 8 desserts over the phone, collected and brought it home only to find three liquid desserts had spilt inside the sealed bag, my vanilla ice cream was missing and there was the most stingiest amount of custard on two of the cakes. When placing the order, I requested (from the old school puddings section) a chocolate cake but instead of having it with custard I asked for it to be substituted for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I repeated the order with the gentleman numerous times to ensure the order had been processed correctly. Once the bag had been emptied (and there was no vanilla ice cream) I decided to contact Icestone. I explained the error as well as the fact the chocolate cake was incredibly dry (so a liquid element would have made a slight difference) only to be told because the receipt/ order doesn’t show the ice cream, he is unable to compensate for THEIR error. Again I explained I repeated the order multiple times so it’s an error on their part and we simply paid the amount that was requested. He was adamant there is nothing that can be done which left a terrible and long lasting negative impression of the company’s customer service. But to correct the employee… technically, I did pay for the ice cream as I swapped the custard element (because I don’t like custard) with ice cream. If there was an additional charge, the gentleman would have explained it over the phone and I would have happily accepted BUT the ice cream was part of the over all item. Aside from ice cream gate, the children enjoyed half of the milkshake (other half was floating in the bag) and the small ice cream scoops. As for the adults, there was minimal custard on the dry and hard cakes, what was left of the Faloodas (again some of it was floating in the bag) was hard and not pleasing on the palate and the chocolate cake tasted like cardboard. Terrible end to a lovely celebration. This experience has further confirmed that we will continue our loyal custom with Heavenly Dessert, they may charge a little more but we are never left dissatisfied.

We visited this afternoon as a treat for our 2 girls. Wow, what service!! The manageress was so patient and helpful, she made our daughters feel so special! I cannot thank you enough. The food was an absolute treat, we had fudge cake and the girls had bubble gum cake . They haven’t stopped talking about ‘ice stone’s’ all night! X

We come to ice stones hudds, every year for our girls birthday. It’s a bit of a tradition for us. Every time The owner Kully and staff always make it special. They go out of there way to play happy birthday over the speakers, they bring out a small (free) ice cream with a large spark flying candle in it sing happy birthday. It may not seem like much to some, but it makes our girls feel so special and we love that they do it every time. The food as always is beaut, they never moan when the girls want extra toppings or take forever to choose there flavours of ice cream
