True Texas Bbq - KINGWOOD

This was a delightful surprise. We ordered chopped beef sandwiches and fries, which were thickly seasoned steak fries. The portions were quite large, and we couldn't finish everything. The prices were more reasonable than at most BBQ restaurants. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly.

I visited this restaurant with a friend for my first experience, and I was delighted to discover good BBQ close to my workplace. I ordered one meat and two sides. Although I requested lean brisket, I ended up with the fatty cut, but it wasn’t a huge issue since I could easily trim it off. The coleslaw was decent, though it had too much liquid for my taste. On the other hand, the pinto beans were absolutely delicious! The staff was fantastic—very friendly and accommodating. Next time, I plan to try the loaded baked potato.

It was an average experience. The food was decent but not particularly impressive. For a place called True Texas BBQ, I had higher expectations and left feeling somewhat disappointed. The prices were on the higher side for what I received.

About to start a grocery run, I was lured in by a delicious looking baked potato ? sign. Then, I had some internal conflict on whether to get that or the pulled pork sandwich ? ? at a low $4.69. (More signage ? Go with your instincts,” they said, and I did. There was no remorse. I tackled this giant, loaded, ATW papa like it was my last meal. After devouring all the good stuff, I ripped some of the sea salted skin off the potato and dunked it in BBQ sauce and was quite satisfied. Hey, it’s not fancy but this place is not trying to be. I really enjoyed this impromptu lunch!Shoutout to the gentleman at the counter (paw paw vibes for his friendly demeanor and customer service ?
