River View Restaurant And Bar

Went with a group last night. Arrived around half food was looking a tad tired by then and sparse. What we had was tasty and the staff aimed to please, though the soup they offered never did arrive, so I would not give the...place a great rating overall. Decor is very plush, would return but only for a drink.

Delicious cocktails. Very nice Indian buffet. Very attentive staff. Shame that it talked about river view when to be honest all I saw was the car park! However the meal was nice and I will definately be returning for a cocktail or

.................this.very pleasant Holiday Inn. Did not stay and although the breakfast was the usual standard buffet all was very much in order. Staff very polite and gave excellent service. The plates were hot and the food freshly cooked. Saw the Manager on my way out...and congratulated him on raising the game in a standard place.

We didn't have very high expectations of a Holiday Inn restaurant but were very pleasantly surprised by the River View. From first to last the service was prompt and friendly, with staff seeming genuinely eager to please. I should mention also that the dining chairs...are very comfortable. I had a delicious duck and fig pate for starters, followed by a Korean spiced feather steak. The spiciness wasn't particularly noticeable but the steak itself was beautifully rare and tender. All our dishes were hot and freshly prepared. We were especially struck by the quickness of service- after our starter there was hardly any delay before the main course. We had a very good rioja at the perfect temperature. I would certainly visit the River View again. Our only reservation was that the menu could have been a little more varied, but otherwise this restaurant is highly recommended.

The restaurant consistently serves delicious food with excellent service. The staff is very accommodating, even willing to cook fresh meals for customers with food allergies. The atmosphere is extremely clean and welcoming, with easy access for elderly and disabled guests. Additionally, they offer a fantastic Indian Buffet every Friday evening.
