Il Villaggio - Kingston upon Thames

This is probably one of New Malden's best kept secrets.Tucked away just off the High Street it serves delicious coffee and the food is simple but very tasty. Always prepared fresh to order and the little filo parcels make a lovely and indulgent treat as well. The service is excellent and friendly, after only a few visits you are recognised as a regular. Love it.

We frequently visit this restaurant on the weekends for a relaxed coffee and panini. The staff is friendly, although they can be a bit slow with taking orders. The place is cozy and the food and coffee are excellent, so we're tempted to keep it a secret. This is definitely my go-to spot for coffee in New Malden.

The restaurant claimed to serve authentic Italian cuisine, but the coffee was disappointing. Despite high expectations from reading numerous positive reviews, the experience did not live up to the hype. The coffee did not taste authentically Italian.

Of course, there's more to Il Villaggio than coffees and teas...but that's what I pop in for most mornings. A superb cup of Italian coffee, served by friendly owner Hamid and made just how you like it. Such a cosy independent just 50 yards from the High Street means that I never have to go into an impersonal chain again. Ever. The food, whenever I've tried it, is good too. And you can sit outside too. Weather permitting. Highly recommended.
