As well as the wide choice, multiple courses on offer, the portions were extremely generous, the staff attentive, the bar prior relaxing and not as expensive as the local pubs/restaurants. All in all a big thank you to all for a brilliant way to spend a Sunday afternoon

I have had a large number of happy parties at Glenmore House. The catering is excellent and the appearance beautiful. The waiting staff are very efficient.

Having already experienced one-off lunches at Glenmore House, I returned to try one of the regular first-Sunday-of-the-month roasts. It didn't disappoint.

The atmosphere of this Victorian house and main banqueting is first class especially if you are organising a function such as a Birthday, Wedding Breakfast, celebration or fund raiser. I have eaten a large number of times at Glenmore House and the food has always been excellent. Good management and staff.

They open up the dining room the first Sunday of the month for carvery roast dinners and I've been on a few occasions now. I have to admit a major part of the draw is the fascinating setting, sitting in the grand hall, and wondering about all the events that have taken place here over the years. The carvery is actually quite formal you are served starters at your table. The selection of meats is always excellent and the portion generous...I don't know if it's bad show to go up for seconds? I've never needed to, partly because the dessert tables are always piled high and that's where I usually make a number of visits. An eccentric pick for a Sunday roast maybe but it always feels like an event.
