Contribuiți la feedbackI used to enjoy going to this bar, but now they have stopped accepting cash, even though it is still legal tender in this country. I will take my paper money and spend it elsewhere. Please inform me if you decide to reverse this policy, as I would consider returning.
The bouncer was impolite to our entire group upon our arrival. There were no heaters outside despite the freezing temperature, and our waiter brought out the wrong order. Additionally, one of our drinks never arrived. Save your time and don't bother visiting this restaurant.
The cappuccinos are really good and they have a great selection of well-kept beers. However, on Saturday, September 5th, the bar server (tall, dark, short hair) was incredibly unfriendly. He seemed disinterested and borderline rude, giving off a vibe of 'yeah, whatever'. It's clear that some bars can become a little too comfortable in their customer service. Pave is in need of a refurbishment and perhaps a reconsideration of their approach. Remember, customers are the ones who ultimately pay your wages.
Haven’t been here for quite a few years now, but glad we came. We came on Saturday lunch, so found a nice table. I got the Pave burger which was delicious and good value for money. My wife got the Halloumi burger which like mine came with delicious coleslaw and chips, she thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly. Will definitely come here again. They also do Leffe beer, an added bonus.
I have been in Pave on no more than 4 nights out over a few years and always come away thinking the outside is better than the inside, for the rear external beer garden is a very relaxing place to be, as is the front seating area adjacent to the road, but the inside is invariably reminiscent of shabby chic gone to neglected tat. I guess this is a cash cow at this point in its evolution? There is a huge range of well known specialist beers and lagers, but you are going to be paying top money to drink them! £6.50 for half of draft Holsten lager and a medium (small) glass of pretty grim white wine is a bit rich for the area. The decline has been gradual but this place is due a refresh .
