Costa Coffee

I had a terrible experience at the Clough Road drive-thru. My husband ordered two strawberries and cream frappes, but they were made with a horrible alternative to cream. We had to pour them down the sink because they tasted awful. It seems like Costa is trying to push their vegan options on customers and charging a high price for it. I will never be going back to a Costa again.

From the moment we joined the line to when we were finally seated with our order, it took 25 minutes. Unfortunately, 10 of those minutes were spent waiting for Just Eat orders to be processed, even though they were placed after ours. The staff prioritized those orders over the customers in the restaurant, leading to a frustrating delay in our service. This lack of organization is unacceptable and shows a disregard for the customers dining in the restaurant.

We visited this restaurant on a bustling midweek day, but were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming and courteous service. Our orders were taken promptly and the drinks were as described and delicious. We also took advantage of a promotion where purchasing a hot drink allowed us to get discounted sweet treats. The restaurant was clean and organized, and we would definitely return in the future.

Called in for coffee/tea and cake. On our arrival details were taken for Track and Trace and we were escorted to a table. Having told the young lady what we wanted we thought we had placed our order as current Legislation states we should order at the table, remain seated and only then take off our masks After some considerable time my husband put on his mask and went to enquire about the delay. Was told he had to queue to place our order. All of this time people were coming and going for outdoor service and takeaway, several not wearing masks at all. He did this and returned to the table with our drinks/food delicious. Whilst moving around and going to the toilets most people did not replace their masks. Pots were removed from tables after customers left but no attempt made to sanitise the table and chairs. I needed to use the toilet but on seeing them I wished I had not had to! Having said all of this the staff were very friendly and polite. Could it be a lack of Training?

Incredibly slow service, disgusting toasted cheese and ham sandwiches and very high prices. Shabby restaurant, disgusting toilet facilities , not fit for purpose
