Contribuiți la feedbackI dined at the restaurant with my wife and found the experience quite disappointing. After placing our order, we waited an excruciating 40 minutes for a simple miso ramen and tofu bibimbap. We noticed that diners arriving after us were served before we were. When we finally lost our patience and asked about our food, it eventually arrived—but it was cold, which seemed to indicate a lack of attention. After pointing out that the ramen was cold, the waitress promptly took it back and returned in just two minutes with a warm bowl. However, the miso broth was bland, leaving me to suspect it had simply been microwaved. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience.
First of all, I want to express how much we loved our experience and the food at Yum Yum! It was so great that we even came back the very next day. However, our experience on this second visit was quite strange. We felt completely ignored. The waiter came out to serve food to people sitting outside near our table, yet didn't acknowledge us at all. We sat there waiting for 25 minutes. Given our wonderful experience the previous day, I was confident that everything would be fine and they were just short-staffed. However, even if you are understaffed, it doesn’t hurt to say hello—we would have waited as long as needed, but being completely overlooked was unsettling. After 35 minutes, we decided to leave. The day before, our server was extremely friendly, and the food was amazing! I'm not sure why our next visit was so odd; perhaps we just had bad luck. But please, Yum Yum, don't ignore your customers! Even if you’re busy, I assure you we would have waited patiently if you had simply checked in with us— I promise we don't bite!
The first person who greeted us asked us to choose any seat we liked and was very friendly when taking our order. My partner and I decided to have ramen and bubble tea. While the broth was a bit watery, we didn’t mind too much since it’s an Asian cuisine restaurant run by non-Asians. About ten minutes into our meal, my partner had finished most of her food but had a lot of broth left, while I was still enjoying my meal. Suddenly, another waiter approached my partner and asked if she was done and if she would like the bill—all in one breath. I’ve never experienced being offered the bill while still in the middle of my meal; it felt quite rushed. This felt inappropriate, especially since the waitress then packed up the remainder of my partner’s broth to hand it over with the bill and asked me if I wanted my food to be packed up as well. I declined, and my partner paid, leaving most of the food behind. The customer service could definitely use some improvement to create a more welcoming atmosphere. I’m not sure if they were experiencing issues with payments or anticipating a large crowd, but there was only one other family in the restaurant when we arrived. We were only there for about 20 minutes, from the time we were seated until we were unexpectedly urged to leave with the bill.
We ordered the ramen noodle with miso soup and pork belly. It was DELICIOUS!
Food was awesome!! Waitresses were super attentive and gave good recommendations. Had the pad thai and dumplings :
