Bistro Stefan - Kingston

Really good and authentic Trinidadian food. Friendly and nice people! Definitely worth a visit!l when in Kingston. This place is AMAZING!!!! I ordered the Curry Goat roti and it's soooo good! The price is reasonable and the part is huge!! The meat is tender and every cube is huge!! The Roti is also on my taste!!

Lamb rotti was really good, convenient, friendly people, a little slice of the Caribbean in Kingston!

Wij hebben hier gedineerd. De stijl en de gehele entourage is gedateerd. Het personeel doet haar best. Publiek was ook op gevorderde leeftijd. Het eten was kwalitatief niet slecht.

The ambience at Stefan's brings you back to old Quebec with a roaring fire most evenings. Service is impeccable and a complimentary starter begins the experience. The last time I was there with friends from Ottawa, the evening special was a choice of either bistro or caesar salad with an entree of filet mignon with jumbo shrimp,roasted potatoes and fresh asparagus - totally enjoyable! Desserts are unique to Kingston cuisine. Encroyable!

My wife chose Bistro Stefan for her birthday dinner this year. We had not been in quite a while and had been happy there before. Francine was our waitress and took very good care of us. We ordered our drinks and were served an amuse-bouche to tickle our pallet while we decided on dinner. We both had an appetizer, me the scallops and my wife the escargot. The escargot on the menu was a version with pastry, which is not something my wife prefers, Francine picked up on this and said she would talk to the kitchen and see if a more traditional version was possible. It was, and my wife enjoyed her escargot very much. For our entrées, she had two lobsters tails, it was her birthday... and I had the prime rib. Both were very tasty and exactly what we wanted. We shared the cheesecake for dessert, it was fine, a regular cheesecake. One nice touch was when Francine asked if she could take our picture explaining it was for the birthday. After taking the pics she returned with the picture in a paper frame. Old school but very thoughtful. A lovely night and a tasty dinner.
