1000 Curry - Kingston

Excellent authentic Indian Food, not like the fake Indian food you can get elsewhere. Rich varied flavours, attentive service, spiced to your taste. Friendly and laid back. We have been there twice and are sure to be frequent flyers. They also do a lot of takeout.

I recently had my first experience at 1000 Curry restaurant and ordered Chicken Vindaloo for takeout. In my opinion, it is the best and most flavorful Chicken Vindaloo I’ve tasted in the Kingston area. I will definitely be returning to their restaurant!

Coming from Toronto, with so many options for Indian food , this place has now become my go to place ,while travelling East. The place is right next to 401 , so you don't even have to take a detour. They have recently introduced some new items ,which are yet to be printed on the menu. Me and my wife tried the Amritsari Kulcha and trust me , it will take you back home. The chef (Rajat) who recommended it ,is himself from Amritsar.The girl (Karan) who served us was friendly and overall we loved the whole experience .Had a quick chat with the owner of the place as well and promised to come back.

We stopped for lunch here on our way back to Toronto, and it's conveniently located near the 401 highway. It's a cozy little place situated in a truck stop gas station, with no frills. However, they serve incredible authentic dhabba-style food. We sampled their special Amristari kulcha, which came with channa, chutney, and pickles, as well as tawa roti and butter paneer. All the dishes were excellent—tasting just like homemade food, not too heavy, and really flavorful. The service was outstanding as well; the staff was very attentive and responsive. This is a fantastic spot that we highly recommend, and we will definitely return!
