Subway - Kingsport

When I inquired about her this past weekend, I found out she no longer works there. A group of my co-workers and I visited the restaurant daily, and she always brightened our day with her remarkable makeup and cheerful demeanor. We often wondered what her makeup would look like each day because seeing her friendly face made our visits worthwhile. The staff turnover there is concerning, which indicates that the owner is not managing things well. On a positive note, Jesse, a young gentleman who works there, is absolutely fantastic. He’s a hardworking and friendly employee who always ensures we have everything we need. We could rave about him endlessly since he has been a great presence in the restaurant. Christy is another standout staff member with an amazing attitude. She is constantly busy with food prep for sandwiches and is always friendly. We’re grateful that she is still part of the team. Given that we don’t have many dining options nearby, we really enjoy Subway. However, we do wish the management would treat their employees better, as we truly miss the “makeup girl” as we fondly referred to her.

I’m sitting outside this supposedly “open” Subway, but there are no employees in sight, just a sign that says “be back shortly.” This sign has been up for 2.5 hours. This Subway is basically the only place to get food at night near the hospital, yet it's been closed 3 out of the last 4 nights without any explanation. I keep rushing back between seeing patients, hoping to grab a sandwich, but no one has shown up. Just yesterday, they closed 3 hours early without any reason given. The day before that, they were never even open during the entire time I was there. On Sunday, I wrapped up seeing patients and hurried over to Subway at 7:40, only to find they had closed early. The employee told me he had “stuff to do.” Well, so do I, but jobs aren’t something you can just come and go from at your convenience. It seems like the employees here believe their work is optional.

I had a bit of an issue at one location, where they mixed up my order and ended up overcharging me for the sub, as I had paid for fresh mozzarella but they were out of it. On the bright side, the staff was very friendly and it seemed like an honest mistake. The food was fresh and tasted great overall.

They are never open or when they are they are on break. Subway needs to move out and let a company move in that wants to make the business

Terrible. Food awful and cold. Two young guys talking amongst themselves and just totally ignored my wife and I.
