Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - Kingsport

This restaurant is fantastic! It has a classy and romantic atmosphere. Two dishes on the menu really stand out to me: the Famous Spinach Dip and the Chicken Alfredo. Both are absolutely top-notch. It's a perfect spot for a date night or even a fun evening out with the kids. Overall, a great place to dine!

Our food was delicious, and our waitress was exceptionally friendly, checking on us multiple times throughout our visit. However, the state of the ladies' restroom was quite disappointing. There was no soap available, the floors were dirty, and both the mirror and paper towel dispensers were dusty. The toilets should be cleaned and disinfected at least twice a day. As a senior citizen, I value cleanliness in public restrooms just as much as I do at home. It's disheartening to see that some women neglect to clean up after themselves. The mirror was streaked with water spots from top to bottom, which contributed to my decision to rate the experience four stars. In fact, if it weren't for the cleanliness issues in the ladies' room, I wouldn't have given any stars at all. Especially during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, I believe maintaining higher cleanliness standards is crucial. I ended up rinsing my hands with just warm water, which simply isn’t sufficient for me.

My review is based on a party of four and includes their feedback as well. They serve the best meatloaf I've ever had! The mashed potatoes were decent, but the green beans could use more seasoning; I actually prefer the green beans from Johnson City. The chicken tenders were served on the same plate as the green beans, which caused them to become soggy. In Johnson City, they serve the green beans in a separate bowl, which I think is a better approach. On a positive note, the shrimp was fantastic. We did have to send back some toast because it was as hard as a brick, but our waitress was very apologetic and quickly brought us a fresh piece. I would definitely return just for the meatloaf! While there are some areas for improvement, I would absolutely go back to enjoy that meatloaf again. The staff was friendly, and our waitress was excellent and very attentive throughout our visit.
