Contribuiți la feedbackWe ordered food for a big party. The food was fabulous; baked beans, pork, chicken, and brisket! They advised me on how much food I would need and it was ready for pick up when I got there! Everything was perfect! They also prepared my food gluten free as we asked!
New owners. Food was great. Good portions. Best sweet tea in the area. Lots of new sides and deserts. Drive thru is convenient and plenty of tables to eat in too. 4 different bbq sauces. Try the brisket.
Pathetic. Everything was dry, the chicken was soaked in some kind of liquid with a liquid smoke flavor, the brisket was thin, dry, no bark and no real flavor. the toast was oily and stale, Everything was kinda cold. The only thing really eatable was the potato salad and coleslaw. And after choking down the food to give a complete review I am still hungry
Almost all of our food was cold- not even luke warm. The fries were old. Definitely a bad experience. I expected better especially when you pay 30 some dollars for a meal for two. The only thing good was the baked beans! They were warm! I think we will go elsewhere for warm food. I?m a bit concerned about bacteria growing on food that is not properly kept warm.
I'm going to work in this big country. Spend many months in different cities. As a whole blood Cajun, I take my food seriously. Other words I am very critical for most restaurants where I eat. This is a rare 5 stars. Service and atmosphere were great. (In particular, since we arrived while making pictures for their website. Dark and romantic. LOL) Spoke with the new owner and he got a little disturbed (together) when I ask if he was from Texas. He informed us that he was a local and grew up in this area. Well, I still think his soul comes from Texas because this man knows how to taste BBQ and all sides. Ribs fell from the bone and cooked perfectly. I will definitely visit this place several times during my stay in Kingsport. Very recommended if you enjoy good BBQ.
