Queenscliff - KINGSCOTE

This pub is very basic and standard. There isn't anything negative to say about it. They were accommodating with my 2-year-old, providing a plastic cup and ice for her to play with and gave us a box to take home her uneaten meal. They were able to easily accommodate gluten-free options, although the wait staff was less knowledgeable than the kitchen.

The Queenie in Queenscliff is a fantastic dining experience. The staff are exceptional in their hospitality. The food is delicious and you'll definitely want to come back for more. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, just as the locals can attest to.

The brewery recommended this restaurant for good food and it did not disappoint. Even though they were fully booked, they managed to find us a table, which was greatly appreciated. The meal was a delicious pub-style one.

Rustic place. You book and pay for the food at the cash desk then it is served at the table. Good quality of food, possibility to eat kangaroo meat. The desserts are also good.

The "Queenie" is a splendid country pub, set on Kangaroo Island in "downtown" Kingscote, the capital of KI.Apart from the usual pub offerings, they have also a pub food menu that is fine.Here, you will mix with the locals, rather than the visitor bar that is the nearby Aurora Ozone Hotel.At night, the place is on a slight rise with lights all about, like it is a special place.And it is.There is a bottle shop next door for packaged goods, including a few of the many KI wines that are hard to find elsewhere.Worth a visit, if only for a quick drink.
