Contribuiți la feedbackUpon entering the charming small restaurant located inside a store that sells everyday items like rice and curry powder, I was intrigued by the indoor tiled roof over the kitchen. However, the food at this place is truly exceptional! Despite typically not leaving reviews, I felt compelled to do so as my group of Australians were the only non-locals there. The chef's special Dosa was fantastic - a generous portion that tasted delicious. We also shared the goat curry, which, despite containing only three pieces of meat, was full of flavor. The Indri rice cakes were a unique and tasty starter. Lastly, we took away some Biryani and I have to say, it was the best I've ever had in Melbourne or anywhere else. I highly recommend visiting this gem of a restaurant. The customer service was excellent, and although the restaurant has its quirks, the food more than makes up for it. I will definitely be returning!
The food at this restaurant is incredible. The dosa and filter coffee were the best I've had in Melbourne. The chicken biriyani was outstanding. The goat biriyani was good, but I would choose the chicken biriyani next time. The service was a bit slow. If they could improve their organization, it would be perfect.
Traditional food; prepared with love; in a cafe-style casual setting. It all started with an intention to have a decent South Indian meal. We looked up the Google reviews and took a drive to this humble place, run by a very loving person, Mr. Bhaskaran. The food was warm, tasted delicious; we ordered Onion Rava Masala Dosa, Idli Vadai Curry, and filter coffee. Loved it till the last bite and the last sip of filter coffee. If you are after delicious, creative food and/or wanted to do groceries while you wait for food then look no further.
The food and preparation at this restaurant were excellent. The dosa, lassi, and filter coffee were all made perfectly. Although there was a bit of a wait, it was definitely worth it.
Delicious authentic South Indian food. Love the masala tea, idly, Byrianni and dosa, takes me back to India. Will be back. They also have a good selection of standard Indian groceries.
