Afternoon Tea At Burgh Island

Fantastic experience a lovely birthday treat. The trip to the Island was by tractor as it was high tide. We were early but that was no problem for the staff who were all extremely friendly and helpful. Superb art deco decor, excellent scones and cream, lovely view and had to have a glass of fizz to honour spirit of the place. It 's a 'must do ' if in the area. Loved it!

The location is truly stunning and the afternoon tea is very good. The customer service is highly variable with an unreliable receptionist who did not schedule our visit and took little responsibility for the mistakes made. Ensure your parking and transport to the island is clear.

My husband I had the most amazing day. We were collected by sea tractor and driven across golden sands where we met a smartly dressed man who directed us through to the hotel. We were warmly welcomed and we felt like we had stepped into a different time the attention to detail the food the service all excellent the venue was beyond our expectations and I have to say it was one of the best days of our lives I highly recommend Burgh Island Hotel we were driven back to the car park also! The views were amazing ! We will definitely be returning! Thank you for a truly excellent afternoon our 2 year Anniversary treat far exceeded our expectations ! I’ve been telling everyone about it!
