La Mexicana Incorporated - Kings Beach

This place hit the spot. Rarely do I go back to the same restaurant twice in the same trip because I like to explore other food, but I found myself going back 3 times because it was that good. I'm spoiled with plenty of Mexican food in Los Angeles too, and this place was on par if not better than some spots at home. I had the asada burrito which was a really good size and the asada combo plate which was really good as well. Highly recommend this place.

The tacos are super flavorful, and the salsa only adds this awesome extra dimension. Not too spicy, perfect for people who just want a little flavor kick. Refreshing, and would eat again

Very yummy big torta for $10, was going to get some pan dulce but I came late and ran out my favorite. Definitely coming back again when we visit tahoe area. My toddler tore it up and loved the food too!

We got delicious carnitas chimichangas, fish burritos and tacos, horchata and more for our first visit. The store was small and jam-packed with Mexican snacks, candy, dried spices and canned goods and a beautiful counter of ready to grill cuts of meat. And there are cabinets of freshly baked giant cookies, breads and cake slices! Definitely don't even attempt to bring a stroller in here. There are about 4 picnic tables for dining in the parking lot only. We will return for more, especially from the taqueria.

Great food and service. I ordered a torta and was surprised by how much food I got. The price is just right and the quality of the food is excellent. They serve with a smile. Glad I found this place and we'll be back on my next trip to Tahoe.
