Domenico's On Kings - Kings Beach

Tonight's experience at Domenico's was disappointing overall. The ravioli was cold and turned into mush after being reheated. However, the supreme pizza was very tasty. The crepes were chewy, but the tiramisu was delicious. Our coffee was good, but our tea was forgotten and when it was finally brought out, there was an ant in the takeaway cup. When we asked for a new cup, three waiters discussed it and seemed skeptical. Upon paying, we were not charged for the ravioli or crepes, but the server (who I believe was the owner's wife) was defensive and did not seem open to feedback. With a growing number of Italian restaurants in Caloundra, Domenico's should consider reviewing their menu and customer service. I may choose to dine at Venedig or Amici on Bulcock for Italian cuisine on my next visit to the coast.

The restaurant has excellent decor and pretty good service. The food is delicious and the location is amazing. We ate here twice in 3 days, definitely a good place for dinner. The only reason it did not receive 5 stars is because both nights they were still serving the same food, which was a little disappointing.

We had the Shearwater voucher breakfast on Monday and then dinner that night. My pancakes were swimming in maple syrup which was tasty yet terrible for my health . My partner's were great and heaps of . Dinner was amazing. The mixed entrees are highly recommended which give you a sample of all their tasty entrees and even the scallops which I would normally turn away from were great. I had the calabrese gnocchi which was delish, although slightly too spicy, only to the point that I think I missed some flavours but I am a lightweight, I would still recommend. My partner had the feta-stuffed chicken which she loved. Service was good, not stellar but solid, only criticism was a slight wait to order. This place stands out in the immediate area as the place for dinner.

I would give Domenico's 3 stars. The vegetarian lasagna I ordered was delicious, as were the two pizzas we also tried. Unfortunately, the spaghetti marinara was below average - it lacked marinara sauce and was nothing special for the price of 28 Australian dollars. The service was good and the rest of the dishes we tried were excellent.
