Contribuiți la feedbackThank you to the falls cafe and owners for their understanding generosity and warm welcome on our elopement weekend. could not have asked for a more lovely and beautiful place to stay
What a great park, we had never been out to Queen Mary falls caravan park before and we will definitely be back! The camp grounds are lovely, lots of nice grass, shady areas to set up and play. The amenities are great and we loved the camp kitchen! We didn't eat at the cafe but the food that we saw looked yum, for anyone wanting to do day trips to the falls the cafe would be a great stop off at the end of a lovely walk. The highlight of our stay were the super friendly birds that we were able to hand feed, they would come and land on us. The kids absolutely loved it. The owners Louise, Mark their family are the loveliest people and really made us feel welcome. Thank you for a great stay. Lucy will miss you especially Louise. We will be back soon. :
Great place to visit with some good scenic views if your prepared to do a short walk
Lovely part of the world and the owners are friendly (and funny)! No internet or phone coverage so it was just what we needed! Will definitely be back.
Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park, in our opinion, is the best in the area for a while around. Instead of just a dry patch of grass to camp on with no view or shade, this campsite has everything you’d want whilst camping. There’s loads of beautiful trees scattered all around the campsite, and views of paddocks filled with cows, a little forest, and also, of course, a lovely view of Queen Mary Falls if you walk for 30 seconds across the road. There is also an abundance of nature around the campsite (which being English I loved) from Rosellas, kookaburras, cockatoos, wallabies and possums to name a few! You can even feed the birds each morning, and they’ll come and perch on you which is magical. Despite feeling like you’re surrounded by nature, the toilet block is well situated and a short walk away from all campsites, it is also always kept very clean. Louise, Mark, and their daughter Holly run an absolutely amazing campsite, and their personalities are a big part to play in what makes the place so special. From the first night we stayed and after getting there late because of a storm, Mark was nothing but hospitable in making sure we got checked in and making us feel welcome; he even went to the extra effort to come out into the downpour to make sure we knew the way to our camp spot (even though he already explained and gave us a map inside) as we stopped by the toilets which we thought was very kind. Louise is equally as generous, the pair of them going to no ends to help us out and make us feel as welcome as possible- it’s one of the places I’ve been made to feel at home most whilst being in the country down to the both of them. The food Louise makes in the cafe is also absolutely delicious! Their daughter Holly is also a credit to the both of them; she acts the same way her parents do, and often goes round checking on everyone to make sure they’re okay. I couldn’t speak more highly of a place, we liked it so much that rather than staying somewhere closer whilst doing my farm work around the area, it was worth the 3am wake ups in order to stay here! You can also have campfires with freshly chopped wood which you can buy from the cafe- a massive bonus as a good fire always makes our camping trips.
