Goombays Grille Raw - KILL DEVIL HILLS

Whenever we visit the beach, we always like to try new restaurants and this year we discovered a gem at Goombays. The wait was short, the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, and the food was fantastic! It was by far the best meal we had on our trip this year. Everything was excellent and there were also good options for kids, such as grilled cheese and hot dogs with fries. The fries were especially delicious. They also had a variety of merchandise to choose from, although we don't usually shop for souvenirs. Overall, we highly recommend visiting Goombays - our first experience was definitely worth it and we will definitely be returning.

The service was good despite being short-staffed! Our server, who had a mustache and curly brown hair, was fantastic. He was constantly running around and working hard for us and everyone else. He definitely deserves a raise. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the shrimp was overcooked and difficult to peel in mine and my friend's orders. The seasoning and flavor were excellent though! My husband devoured his pie in seconds. It's a bit pricey in my opinion, but I suppose everything is these days.

We had a great lunch here. The food is excellent and service was friendly. Our group had crab legs, fish tacos, burger, steak sub, pasta, and gator tail. Goombay splash drink was amazing too.

Let me preface this statement with saying I don 't like seafood, but my wife is obsessed with it and even this place ended her affair with the deep sea delight. The portions were awful and after her first bite of the sampler platter she asked that weleave. Unfortunately we had already ordered 100 dollars worth of disgusting food that found its way in the trash quickly. Waitnot also not attentive. In a way I 'm thankful for this place. No more seafood for a while.

We had a great experience dining at Goombay's! The appetizer of coconut shrimp, jalapeño crab balls, and tempura shrimp was fantastic. For our entrees, we tried the catch of the day with grits and veggies, as well as the pecan encrusted grouper with rice and black beans. Both dishes were delicious. Our server, Hope, provided excellent service. Be sure to check out this restaurant when you're in town.
