The Saltbox Cafe - Kill Devil Hills

I am extremely impressed with this restaurant. The customer service, food quality, and atmosphere were all excellent. Despite living 40 minutes away, my food was still fresh and delicious when I arrived, thanks to the efficient kitchen staff. I was worried about the food getting cold or soggy during the drive, but was pleasantly surprised to find it still warm, crispy, and absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional from beginning to end. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Perfectly meshing fine dining with the chill beach esthetic. Salt box has very tasty food with a great atmosphere. This was our second time visiting and it official is a staple in our visits to OBX. My wife got the sweet potato bowl and I got the ribeye.Both cooked to perfection. The staff was very nice and the wine line is perfect to pair with their menu. Highly recommend thisplace to anyone looking for a delicious meal. If you can be sure to make a reservation! There are about 8 tables in doors andanother six on their porch, but they also have a bar. So get in quick before they fill up!

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It has a charming atmosphere, with plenty of staff to assist you. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. It's clear that this place is a favorite among locals. The Crab Benedict is fresh and delicious, and the scrambled eggs are excellent. The crispy bacon is absolutely amazing. I definitely plan on returning, and I highly recommend that you give this place a try too!

The food at this restaurant is exceptional and the dining experience is fantastic. The non-traditional cheesesteak with sriracha tots was one of the most delicious dishes I have ever tried. The steak was incredibly tender and flavorful. We will definitely return in the future.

Wonderful dinner. Hot and humid on the porch but understandable. They have no control of the weather. The food was definitely a delight. Beyond great food and glad we went off the beaten path.
