Just WOW! The food was perfect. Just like I remember when I was little in Texas. We just stopped for a meal while headed out of Texas. So glad we did. Fried shrimp and catfish are just right with great flavor. Fried okra was just like grannies! Waitress was sweet and attentive. The restaurant isn’t a fancy place but you don’t need fancy when it’s this good!!

So glad we stumbled on this place while traveling. The best shrimp, catfish, chicken fingers and okra I've had since childhood. Seriously. The seasoning and breading was perfect. The restaurant isn't fancy at all but doesn't need to be with food this good today! A must stop.

I love the fried squash. And I love the shrimp with grits and cheese. The food is delicious.The staff is very friendly.My only complaint is its always hot inside.

Every time we go we have the best service. Our waitress remembers all the little sauces and seasonings we like. Definitely have to go for their all you can boiled shrimp it’s fantastically seasoned. All their sides have been delicious as well! We try to go every week! Great food for Kilgore!

The catfish was good but the senior catfish had two thin pieces of fish that were tough and hard to cut, much less eat. But the fish on the regular menu were large and soft. The two piece regular catfish dinner is only 99 cents more and well worth it. The sides were fabulous. Fried squash was thin crispy with a dusting of cornmeal. The fried okra was also dusted with seasoned cornmeal. Tomato relish was light refreshing. All in all, a very goid choice for lunch.
