We also got what we thought was a salad, but turned out to be good with grilled cheese with a lateral cucumber salad! Only on the bottom we were there both times, they were made from vegetable milk so for tea instead of coffee.
Small menu, but all well done. Carrot-Lox Bagel was delicious; the cream cheese in the bagel was incredibly tasteful. They had a dark chocolate cinnamon tart that was really fantastic; very chocolaty and texture was thrilled. Bonus points because of the view over the city. Cafe is attached to a bookshop with a relatively large selection.
The food is simple and well presented. The menu is limited, but what they have is good. My meal was the grilled cheese with cucumber and chick salad. Coffee is really good, but then the whole coffee in Rwanda is really good. They also have some delicious, fruity drinks as well as carbonated drinks. There are many sweet breads and pastries, but I didn't have one of them. The roof café has one of the best views in the city. The restaurant has no air conditioning. Or at least it was not the days I was there; so the room is a little warm. You can stay there and use the Wifi as long as you want. You're in a big bookshop. Ikerizi books.
Beautiful view from the roof terrace that makes this place completely worth to go. There is a very limited menu here (especially for vegans need to modify the salad), but they can veganize their drinks with Macadamia nuts and cashew milk. Service is slow, free Wifi though!
The cafe has a very calm and serene aura for anyone looking to immerse themelves in undisturbed dining, reading, meditating or any preferred silent activity. There is a large library of English and French books which you can read while there. The rooftop section offers one of the best views of Kigali to reinforce your moments of relaxation, there are even mats to lie down enjoy the great view offered. Will definitely go back when I return to Kigali.
