Seaside 61 - Kiel

The Seaside 61 is located directly on the Kiel inner flange at the Kiel line. Here you can sit outside in beautiful weather. Just next to the restaurant there is a large terrace. In summer the large roof terrace is also open. From experience I can say that it is always very difficult here to get a place. Seaside 61 has two entrances, you can enter the restaurant directly in front of Kielline, but there are a few steps here. For disabled or wheelchair users there is a second entrance at the back of the side, which is level. These guests can easily reach the restaurant. At the rear side entrance there are also the toillettes outside. In the immediate vicinity there is a bus stop, but there are also plenty of parking spaces. During my last visit to Kiel, I walked on the Kiel line. Since it was afternoon and coffee time I decided to return to Seaside 61. I was very surprised how little was going on this Tuesday afternoon. On weekends, everything is always full and you often get no place. I entered the restaurant and looked for a cozy window. I was greeted by a young farm nicely with a Hello. I hadn't taken a proper place at the table, so she put the menu on the table. A short time later, another service brought ordered food to the side table. He saw me and said hello too. Then he came to me at the table and I could give up my order. I wanted a hot chocolate with a cream cap and an apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and vanilla sauce. That's what I ordered. The selection on the menu is good and here everyone finds something, whether you have great or rather small hunger. Lunchtime is also available here. From Wiener Schnitzel with Pommes Frites and Salat to the farmer's breakfast, the guest can choose what the point is. Also various breakfast options such as sweet breakfast with croissants and jam or hearty breakfast with rolls and cold cuts and optionally with cooked egg or agitator are offered here. Guests who like sweets will also be happy here. There are various types of ice cream, apple strudel, hot waffles with applemus, cherries or ice cream, or just cakes or simply cakes. Torte. You can choose this from the cake counter. It didn't take long, so the young service brought me my ordered hot chocolate to the table. The chocolate looked good, only unfortunately was a little too much cream on the chocolate and hot it wasn't, rather lukewarm. I was a bit disappointed. When my apple strudel came I was just thinking that is all? It was well dressed on an elongate plate, but in my eyes too much chic taste around it and cheaply I didn't find this little portion straight. But it was delicious, so I could still enjoy the apple strudel. When I wanted to pay, I was asked if everything was okay. When I left the restaurant, I knew I wouldn't come back here so quickly. In addition to the LOUF restaurant, I get more for my money. Finally, it should be said that you can also rent the Seaside 61 for events or family celebrations. This is perhaps a special highlight with this magnificent backdrop from Kiel Harbour.
