We got raw oysters, baked oysters, stone crab, lobster bisque, crab stuffed grouper, yellowtail snapper, and a piece of key lime pie to go. EVERYTHING was absolutely incredible, the best meal we?ve ever had, and we are incredibly critical when it comes to food. Not only was the food phenomenal, but the wait staff was too! Such kind and attentive people who obviously value professionalism. Y?all really have a legendary restaurant here and I hope to be back soon!
Highly recommend stopping by The Fish House. We came for an early dinner, but the restaurant was already packed by 6:30pm. Loved the ambiance and wholesome feeling the entirety of the decor, food, and staff exudes. We ordered Conch Fritters for the first time, which had a very balanced frying, with a delicious seafood filling that isn't over-bearing. For our mains, we got the Lobster and the Fried Shrimp and Baby Back Ribs. Both exceeded expectations, with a very fairly priced, flavorful and fresh lobster, and ribs that were fall-off-the-bone tender. We followed that up with the key lime pie that was a great way to round up a hearty meal. With all that being said, we did learn a couple lessons: simply that this place is here for the simple and delicious food to shine, and not necessarily the beverages. The margarita was too salty, the dark and stormy unbalanced, the wines okay, and the coffee was small diner quality. But we really didn't feel that took away from the experience considering how much everything else shined. Our server was also very patient, courteous, and timely! We highly recommend!
I?m in Key Largo at a fantastic place for fish!!! First, this place has the best lobster bisque soup ever! They bring you a bottle of Sherry to bump it another notch also. The yellow-tail snapper matecumbe is found nowhere else. The fish has a special sauce and cooked with butter, tomatoes and capers!! Wow! Key Lime! Say no more.
We came in for an early dinner on a Monday and we?re seated immediately. We were blasted with AC when we walked in, but when we were seated it was a little warm. They had a wide variety of alcohol choices. Their menu is HUGE! The waitress suggested some of their more popular dishes. We had lobster bisque and calamari for apps. The bisque was really good. And the calamari was really thick rings! My husband had the shrimp and scallops scampi. The shrimp were huge, and the scallops melted in your mouth. The sauce was the perfect compliment to the seafood and the rice soaked up the sauce. I had the special?Grand Mariner Fish. I chose yellow snapper. The portion was large, and the orange/butter topping was the perfect compliment to the white flaky fish. I ate every last bite! I got the key lime pie to go, but it hit the spot. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone!
