Whiskey Joe's Miami - Key Biscayne

I always enjoy bringing out-of-state visitors to this restaurant when they’re in town. The location is fantastic, and the food is delicious. While the service could be improved, it seems like this is a common issue everywhere lately.

The view of the Miami skyline is absolutely breathtaking! However, it’s sad to note that today, November 5th, 2023, is the final day for Whiskey Joe's. This is due to their landlord, the adjacent marina, choosing not to renew their lease.

The only positive aspect of this restaurant is the view; everything else has significantly declined. The food was mediocre, and the service was nearly nonexistent. Both the servers and bartenders seemed disengaged, and there was no sign of management. When I asked to speak with a manager about an issue I encountered, the server told me she didn't know where he was and suggested he was probably just wandering around the marina as he usually does. Another staff member corroborated this. It was clear that the server had little regard for the manager, which indicates a lack of respect for the leadership. It's evident that poor management is the root of the problem here. I visited with a group of friends, and I can honestly say we will NEVER return unless significant changes are made.

Service was terrible. Bartender/waiter didn’t come to our table until 20 minutes after we were seated and even when we tried to place an order at the bar we were told someone would come to us.

Lovely Sunday lunch, excellent attentive service by Jacques Etienne. Highly recommended. Be sure to try the steamed mussels.
