Contribuiți la feedbackAfter a exploring Kerrville for the first time, my friend and I decided to find a place for coffee and cake. A quick search led us to Wild Flour Bakery within The Ridge Marketplace. All of the cakes, cupcakes, chocolates and ice cream were made in the shop and you could watch as they did it. Everything looked absolutely delicious within the display case! They also supply the desserts for the Cafe at the Ridge which is next door. You can actually order your desserts and such at either place. We ordered our coffee (just plain coffee) at the Cafe and then grabbed a slice of carrot cake with two scoops of ice cream from the bakery. Everything was delicious, the woman behind the counter was very sweet and I loved being able to watch them whip up all the tasty treats! The seating area was kept very clean and it had a nice view of the surrounding marketplace. I would definitely go back and try more items!
This was our first visit to The Ridge, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved looking around the grounds and seeing all the beautiful plants with many butterflies. Nice little gift shop also. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. We did not purchase any items from the bakery, but all the goodies looked delicious, especially the cinnamon rolls. We opted for an appetizer of fried mushrooms. They were FANTASTIC. It was quite enjoyable sitting outside enjoying the appetizer with a glass of tea. Great way to spend some time while in Kerrville.
The food was great; however, they were apparently short-handed in the wait staff. We did arrive about noon so expected them to be busy. Our server did his best, but he was covering quite a few tables and it took a while to get tea refills and our check taken care of. No big issue and we will be back!.
Have had several dining experiences here and most are ok. This establishment has a hard time keeping adequate staff in the restaurant As a result, wait times for food can be long especially on Sunday mornings and my experience with the manager on my last visit was very unsatisfactory. She was unprofessional and lacked any kind of empathy toward me as a customer. I understand that this kind of work is very difficult however most restraints in Kerrville do a better job. The grounds are beautiful but if this business is not careful, the restaurant will hurt the rest of the business. Not planning to return for Sunday breakfast until personal issues are resolved.
Waited over a half hour for omelettes. Waitress wasn’t friendly. Asked for unsweet iced tea with lots of ice or a cup of ice and was brought tea with very little ice in it. Had to ask again for a cup of ice. Asked when ordering if they had Swiss cheese, she said what else do you want I said ham. Told her I wanted grape jelly, don’t like other flavors. When we were finally served, I had American or cheddar cheese in my omelette instead of Swiss, and she sat down strawberry jelly. When I asked about grape again she said “we don’t have grape jelly”. My husband ordered sausage gravy to go with his biscuit. When it came out they had taken chunks sausage put it in a bowl and put a little bit of gravy over it. It looked like dog food. Don’t go out of your way like we did to try this place.
