True Texas Bbq - Kerrville

Mixed review here. On the plus side, the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and there are plenty of beverage options, including 6 flavors of tea (sweet and unsweet), fountain drinks, and even bottled beer. There are also a lot of menu options and the food came out fairly quickly.I got a turkey plate for around $13, which came with three slices of turkey and two sides. My dad got the same plate but only got 2 slices of turkey, which we thought was weird. The turkey itself was quite good with lots of smoky flavor. We both got fries which had a decent seasoning and were nice and crispy. I got collard greens, no complaints there, but my dad got baked beans and found them nearly inedible they didn't look or taste very appetizing.My main complaint was the complete lack of BBQ sauce of any kind. This being a barbeque restaurant, I found this surprising. They had ketchup in small packets, nothing else. While the turkey was pretty tasty on its own, I still like a little spicy mustard on the side. Oh well. Not a bad lunch all in all.

Great moist brisket!! Pleasantly surprised hard to believe it's inside HEB! I travel all over Texas and get BBQ, I can honestly say this is one of the best I've had and I've had them all!

We were pleasantly surprised with their BBQ. I got the double, fatty brisket with potato salad and collard greens. Dang, delicious!!!! I’d definitely come back for more.

You have been warned...It 's cold drizzly day he wanted bbq. Apparently 4 slices of not so lean brisket is a half a pound..$11 You didn 't read that wrong 1.2.3.4 slices with fat on the lean ordered meat $11 Small side Potato salad looked green.... One taste told me it was bad. OLD. Immediately trashed. Mac n chz ... dry. See pix.Beans........ can you say congealed?!? Great BBQ, something you wouldn't necessarily expect to find in a large chain supermarket. The atmosphere is only ho-hum but the service was speedy and the food very tasty.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access and handicapped parking is nearby.
