Amalfi's Italian - Kernersville

Make sure to try the bread! The hot, delicious bread served with oil and balsamic vinegar is a must-try. Our server even brought us a second basket without us having to ask. The rest of the meal was just as fantastic, with classic dishes like spaghetti, strombolis, eggplant parmesan, and calzones. Even our friend who was watching their diet was happy with their grilled shrimp salad. And the best part? Feeding everyone didn't cost a fortune. If you only go for the bread, it's worth it!

This restaurant in Kernersville has been a longtime favorite, offering a variety of classic Italian dishes, pizzas, and Stromboli. You can choose to dine in or carry out. The steak Stromboli is exceptional, and other favorites like spaghetti and lasagna are delicious. The chicken piccata is a must-try! They also serve homemade bread and olive oil at the table, which is a nice touch. The fettuccine Alfredo, with or without protein, is also very flavorful. The wait staff has seen some changes since the pandemic, but they still provide good service and are helpful. The restaurant's decor resembles a cozy Italian café, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, a great dining experience!

Lived in the area for 17 years and have ordered a handful of times. I was craving a calzone and it was between here Blue Naples, which I would never order from again due to their food not being good their unwillingness to correct their mistake argued whether my item was fully cooked. So I ordered a calzone large 3-topping pizza. Not one slice had more than 1 of the toppings on it, it was a greasy, flavorless, disgusting mess. The entire pizza, minus 3/4 of one slice went in the garbage. The calzone had very little meat in it also no flavor. I should have known better than to order from here based on previous experiences. A good Italian restaurant should have multiple sauces to compliment each dish; otherwise they are just covering different pastas with the same sauce. Since I just move, I definitely won't be returning, but hopefully this helps someone else. Olive Garden is better and I won't go there.

This is a hard review for me. The food was quite good but the service not so much. We were there with friends and they got a pizza. It looks amazing but had mushrooms so no way was I going to touch it. But the first pizza delivered to our table was not theirs. Oops. ‍ Ugh! So she took it to another table after it sat on ours for a few minutes untouched. Ugh!! My husband had the Stromboli and I had Seafood Amalfi. Both of those were quite good. Then when we were done our friends asked for a box for the leftover pizza. The box they were handed was greasy and dirty inside. Ugh! The waitress brought a new box and said the kitchen staff put a pizza in the first box and took it out and put it in the wrong stack Just a lot of really kinda ‍‍ moments and this was our first trip here. We will try it again but I think it will be the pizza to go option
