Kai-Wing Restaurant - Kentville

I like my chines food, as far as the best in the province, its Charlie's Place Restaurant Ltd down in Annapolis Royal. Then there is House Of Cheng Restaurant in Middleton. Both are quite a drive for me. Recently I visited the Kai-Wing , haven't been there for a number of years. About a month a go I went in for a BOGO and had one of their combination plates. I enjoyed it.I went back the other day with the express intention of trying out a few of their spicy dishes. I love my spice. I was very pleased with the dishes. They were not like the lame, weak kneed so called spicy chicken burgers you get at the fast food restaurants, but they were not super spicy ether. They were what I would call pleasantly spicy. So I'm happy to have a nice Chinese Restaurant within a 15 minute drive of my home.

Service was excellent but the food was not very good. I never get sick from food but ended up sick all day after eating here.

The price per person at this restaurant ranges between $70 and $80.

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The chicken fried rice was sticky and lumpy, and the spare ribs were dry and tough, as if they had been leftovers from the night before and reheated for the next day. In terms of child-friendliness, the waitress was very nice and friendly. The service was good. This was a dinner meal, with a price range of $10-20 per person.
