Pho King - Kent

This Vietnamese restaurant is owned by a Chinese family. Unfortunately, the server was not very friendly and came across as somewhat rude, which made the experience uncomfortable. The food was decent but not quite up to par. As someone of Vietnamese heritage, I found the Pho and other Vietnamese dishes lacking in authenticity; the flavors didn't resemble what genuine Pho should taste like. The presentation was quite plain and uninteresting, and the soft rolls were not made to the standard one would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. Overall, I was a bit disappointed. On the positive side, the Chinese-influenced dishes were pretty good. The restaurant itself was mostly clean. However, our first visit would have been much more enjoyable if the service had been more welcoming and positive. If the attitude of the staff had been friendlier, I would have considered giving it another star. We're uncertain if we'll return to this restaurant to see if there might be a better experience next time.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to poor customer service and mediocre food. If you have children, I recommend avoiding this place. The server, who was Chinese, was quite rude and commented on my kids' use of chopsticks, saying they could play with them as long as they didn't damage the tables. My kids were merely tapping the chopsticks against each other; they were not being rough at all. They are a 9-month-old baby and a 4-year-old; there's no way they could damage a sturdy wooden table like yours. This interaction really soured the whole experience for my family. We won't be returning, and if you have kids, I suggest seeking out other restaurants where both great food and good customer service are offered, and where children are welcomed. A piece of advice: if your tables are more important than your customers, maybe the restaurant business isn't for you.

I had an incredible chicken pho at this restaurant! I loved the way they prepare the chicken; it’s grilled, which was a delightful surprise and made it even better. The dumplings were also delicious. I will definitely be returning to this hidden gem!

First time here. Excellent food. Had Eye of Round Pho, Crispy Spring Rolls and Chargrilled Chicken Cold Noodle. Portions were plentiful. Also had Saigon style Milk Tea. Friendly wait staff. We will return.

I got it to go. The broth was good but portions ...not great. The meat was very very thin and already mixed in the broth. Which little at that. The sides where in a Zip lock baggy too. Not impressed for the price.
