The Little Banksia - Kensington

Home cooked tasty food including raw and whole. This none coffee drinker is pleased with the two versions of chai Wet Tea (no sugar, no powder). Opened early too, well 7am. That's good for WA. I'll be back and do recommend.

This is a great place for meals. Must try the hot chocolate! Not only was the food great, the staffs were really friendly. Tucked in a great neighbourhood, a good place to chill, relax and catch up. Great casual dining where u feel at home.There was a corner room where your kids can dine with u and play at the same time too.

This is a little suburban local cafe that makes good coffee and lovely food. Would sometimes like a little less expensive takeaway offering but dine in menu spot on.

The Little Banksia has been around for a long time. When I was going to school over the road at Kensington Primary School it was a general store, of the sort that is now almost extinct. Having gone through several ownership changes, it has emerged as the Little Banksia. The cafe is much improved under new ownership. It's a great place to stop off for a good coffee or a light meal. The coffee is good. I had a strong cafe latte, which was most enjoyable. Service is prompt. Tables are inside or out, so make the most of Perth's marvelous weather and stop off for a pick-me-up.

When my husband asked me to lunch, I jumped at the chance for a brief walk and a luscious, nutritious bite to eat and was certainly not disappointed. Almost all tables inside and out were full but we ordered at the counter without wait and our food came quickly and looked great. I ordered the super salad and it was delicious, topped with a lovely poached egg. My husband ordered fried rice with chicken skewers and enjoyed the hint of chili. Staff were friendly and efficient. My only suggestion for next time would be to turn the music down a little as there was plenty of chatter from patrons and with the hard surfaces and timber floors, was just a touch noisy. We'll be back to try more of the menu! Thanks Little Banksia.
