Mcdonald's King's Road

This McDonald's location is typical of the chain with its high volume of customers. There is a small counter for ordering, but they encourage customers to use their kiosks. The quality of the food and drinks was average. The staff seemed a bit robotic in their service, simply calling out numbers and handing over food without engaging with customers. Despite this, I would return to this McDonald's as I know what to expect from the brand.

The food was ok but when ordering chicken nugget share box and picking barbecue sauce as two of the dips, after placing order went to get the food and was told there was no barbecue sauce or ketchup sauce. Was disappointed.

I visited the McDonald’s restaurant in the Kings Road with my adult son prior to visiting the Saatchi Gallery to see the Tutankhamun exhibition on a midweek day just before midday. Arriving at the gallery early for our entrance time slot, we looked around for somewhere to get a simple drink whilst we waited and opted for the McDonalds restaurant a short distance further along the Kings Road. The restaurant is not large in comparison with others that I have used and is reached via a flight of steps. The restaurant was not busy with about two thirds of the seating available at the time of our visit. We ordered our drinks at the touch screen facility, I had a regular Latte and my son a coke and these were served almost immediately from the collection area. We took a seat in a window overlooking a terrace of ‘Georgian’ houses fronted by a rather forlorn looking grassed area which presumably would have been a garden area ‘back in the day’. My son was rather impressed to find that he could charge his phone using the contactless charging point on the flat surface. Before we left for the Saatchi gallery I used the toilets which were located down a flight of stairs and these seemed to be reasonably clean and maintained. In summary an average McDonald’s restaurant facility in a built up area and a reliable place to get a good cup of coffee.

The environment at this restaurant was hostile. There was verbal abuse and hatred directed at me in public after checking if the toilet was clean. It was insinuated loudly by a cleaner or their friend that I was privileged and elitist because I expected the toilet to be clean. It seems that according to them, low-paid workers at McDonald's should not be expected to clean toilets hygienically.

The most ignorant staff in any McDonald’s I’ve met! Stood for 5 minutes and they just ignored me as I tried to get some ketchup! You would think something this BASIC would be included and in fact it was on my order but still they ignored it! So unhelpful and unhappy with the staff here! Terrible customer service! Need re training!
