Maison Blanc is a French bakery and pastry shop that was founded in 1981 in Oxford, establishing itself as the first authentic patisserie.
If there is a thing that I have learned in the course of the years, it is this; pleasure should be deepened with gusto and appreciation. in that one should be de riguer. not all day, but only enough to make them grateful for the very good things in life, and there is little that fine wein, craftsmanship in its best and good society better. This is nowhere better in the maison blanc 's delicious terrace series. as I went back to this aladdin's cave of the heavenly cake I was back to paris and bordeaux, where I studied the art of drinking and eating fine food more passionately than absorb the great works of flaubert, descartes and moliere a million years ago. the first thing I have to say, and God forgive my ignorance, is that I never knew how good wee and cake could be paired together. what a blithering idiot I put out. what was put before me not only looked like michalengelo was busy at work, but the weepings served with these divine exhaustions proved quite magnificent. the star of the show, without a shadow of a doubt in my mind was the 'signature' concerto, a luscious, multi-layered chocolate concoction with which I ribbed a smooth cotes du rhone. if it doesn't cake it 're after, but the hearty menu has many attempts on the menu and resistance the croques monsieur was certainly hors de ask. a gooey, inconspicuous, wonderfully mouthful of melted Compte cheese and smoked ham served on roasted craft brot, always the ultimate ingenious snack of my choice. To complement the joys of the evening, the evening was spent in the garden of the fulham street branches, a magnificent environment with climbing plants, brand new decking and a bench, handmade to surround the garden 's focal point, a beautiful historical tree. at this place I must add that the service was impeccable (at French accent.) politically, smiling staff dispensed with the wee and eat with gnade and a wonderful demeanour. what can I add? if you're not trying to get it to your next place, I'm either a badly stratified counter or you're an alien from the mars. je vous felicite maison blanc.
This restaurant offers a great cup of coffee at an affordable price. The outdoor garden is the perfect spot to enjoy your drink, and they serve top quality brands.
