Il Borgo - Kensington and Chelsea

The Italian cuisine served here is homemade and delicious. The cozy atmosphere is enhanced by the hand-painted walls, and the prices are quite fair. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The food was cooked from a frozen dish from Sainsbury's, which was disappointing. The wine cost £5 online but was priced at £18 per bottle at the restaurant. Overall, not quite the dining experience we were hoping for on Gloucester Road.

The bread at Knock was disappointing, but the bruschetta was excellent. The pizza del casa was very tasty, and the waiter suggested adding mozzarella which was a smart choice. The lasagna was delicious, but I would not recommend the house wine. The waiter was very attentive, almost excessively so.

From the great cheap kitchen, to the attentive staff, this restaurant was excellent. the wall fresco in the back adds to the authentic atmosphere. it was great.

Don't let the old sign out front put you off, the food is good and comes out quick and the inside is painted beautifully!
