I had previously enjoyed dining here, but this time the vongole special I ordered lacked flavor and quality. The spaghetti was plain and the clams were chewy and gritty, with no white wine sauce, garlic, chili, or seasoning. I sent it back and although wine and oil were added, they weren't cooked off and the dish still lacked flavor. The waiter seemed aware of the issue and appeared stressed, so I didn't want to send it back again. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious and the staff was fantastic. My partner and I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Try The Meatballs polpette, just like your mom used to make them. The meat texture, the flavorful red tomato sauce, and the perfect blend of spices will make you feel like you're in heaven - or at least that heaven can wait.
I love this place so much. People are complaining about it being expensive but this is an authentic Italian restaurant run by families with not a lot of seating it’s a real hole in the wall, their food deserves to be priced as it is they are the loveliest family. I love their service and how welcoming they are to me. I wish them all the very best for many years to come.
Over priced for below average meal. £28 for bottle of rough house Sicilian wine (some Sicilian wines are excellent, this was like vinegar). Paid £15 for home made ravioli. Tasted good, but portion was that of a starter, so had to order another dish so ended up having to have two mains. Pizza was tasty nothing special. This is a tiny cafe charging Notting Hill restaurant prices. Paper table cloth was dirty couldn't even change a paper table cloth between customers. Was empty when we arrived whereas Cinquecento Pizza place 50 yards up the road was buzzing. Now I know why. Now I have read other reviews, I see we had a very similar experience.
