One of us had a good vegetarian chop suey and the other had a meal for one, both of which were tasty. There were a variety of vegetables and the meat dishes contained generous servings of meat. Both meals were big enough we needed to ask for a box. The staff were friendly.
They have great food both Chinese and Canadian. I've stopped at this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed with their food or the service. I think this place has the best Chinese food on the Island and prices are so reasonable. Any time we are in Kensington we stop by for some great food and very good value!
We were staying in PEI and wanted some Chinese food. This location was convenient to the North shore so we tried it. We ordered take out of chicken and broccoli and beef and broccoli with extra rice. The service was good and it was clean inside. Total $28.18 CAD The food was just so so and very bland. Would not go again.
This restaurant may not be very upscale, but it offers plenty of delicious dishes at reasonable prices. The staff members were incredibly welcoming and attentive. I can't wait to come back again.
I've eaten in more Chinese restaurants than I can count all over the world. On this vacation we went to Cabot Provincial Park in Prince Edward Island along with another family of four. Kensington is the nearest community approximately twelve kilometers from the Park. One evening we all decided to go try out the Lotus Garden restaurant we had seen on our way to our destination. It was the best choice we could have made. The food was absolutely fantastic! Dominique, our hostess, was very good to us which made our dinner experience even better. Along with our two hard to please children, our friends had their own couple of fussy eaters. The Canadian food was as good as the Chinese dishes we had and all of us ate heartily and left stuffed. It was delicious and we had to have take away as their portions were more than we could eat at one sitting. As this area is considered a tourist trap because of the beautiful beaches, the other options for eating in the area were pathetic in comparison. Grossly overpriced and overbooked with very limited menus and hours, and uppity staff. The Lotus Garden was extremely good value and had an abundant selection of Canadian and Chinese foods with adequate seating and normal hours. I would highly recommend the Lotus Garden for anybody looking for great food at great prices with a friendly atmosphere.
