Island Stone Pub - Kensington

This review is far overdue. My wife and I have been enjoying this restaurant for a few years now. The food is consistently amazing every time. I've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Very welcoming staff that make you feel like you are a regular at the local watering hole. The burgers, steaks, haddock, jalapeño dip are my favorites. The best part is that they can accommodate my gluten intolerance. Which is great because I love pub food! We had two different Curry Specials last night. They were perfect. Highly recommend adding a curry to the regular menu. Best pub on the island and it's in Kensington, 5 minutes from home!

This culinary experience is a true 'diamond in the rough '! Your mind tells you that you are walking into a typical steak and beer pub. However, from the moment you are welcomed in to a grand choice of the finest Island craft beer, a balanced list of fine wine and a menu selection that is guaranteed to please even the most picky culinary critic you know you are in a special place. If you love good food and a warm, relaxed friendly environment this is a must do! Oh yes, if all you really want is a beer and a succulent pub steak they got that, too!!

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed the food at this restaurant! He ordered the schnitzel special, which was huge and covered the entire plate. I opted for the steak frites with garlic herb butter, and the steak was tender and juicy with the herb butter elevating the flavors. We also shared the jalapeño popper dip with house chips, which was surprisingly delicious with a cream cheese base complemented by jalapeños and chips. To cap off the meal, we indulged in a sticky date pudding that was heavenly. The service was excellent, with our waitress being attentive and friendly, along with the other staff and customers. We will definitely be returning!

My husband and I absolutely love Island Stone Pub! The meals are always fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect. We highly recommend dining here!

Wow, fantastic meal!!! I had the 3 specials... seafood chowder, steamed clams and lobster roll. All were home cooked on property, service great and waitress was comical.
