Lily Asian Cuisine - KENNETT SQUARE

The sushi at this restaurant is delicious! We will definitely return to try more dishes, as we enjoyed everything we ordered. Our favorite roll this time was the Sombrero Roll. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and there was plenty of seating available. We dined in for dinner and the average price per person was between $20 and $30.

Recently, my family celebrated a big birthday dinner at this restaurant. The exceptional service and staff truly impressed us. Despite our large group, they were able to accommodate us perfectly. During our last visit, the chicken lo mein was rubbery and nearly inedible, while the chili garlic edamame lacked flavor and included a lemon instead of a lime. The lack of attention to detail has been evident in multiple recent visits, with mistakes such as missing items and incorrect orders becoming more common. While the staff was apologetic and offered a refund for a forgotten shrimp tempura order, we were reluctant to provide our credit card information over the phone. Unfortunately, these errors have become a recurring issue in recent years, ranging from missing soy sauce and chopsticks to entirely forgotten orders. The quality of the food has become inconsistent, making the high prices difficult to justify. For instance, the sushi dinner now costs nearly $30, which seems exorbitant. Additionally, salads are no longer included and come with a $1 upcharge, while the wonton soup is disappointingly sparse in meat. While it pains me to offer such a critical review, I feel compelled to provide an honest assessment of the current state of Lily's. For those seeking a better dining experience, I recommend trying Lily's sister restaurant, GuGu, which may offer a more satisfying meal. Alternatively, consider dining at Wasabi 3 in the Longwood Shopping Center or stopping by before or after visiting Longwood Gardens.
