Kirikiki - Kenneth City

Drove by this place and thought woah a Peruvian restaurant in Kenneth City?! That sounds awesome. My fiancé and I entered and it was a hole in the wall and very hot. When we looked at the menu they had very little options. When we went to pay the owner mentioned that they only accepted cash and that the credit card machine was down. We order the chaufa de pollo, seco de carne, and 2 empanadas. When we received our food it was very bland. My fiancé 's chaufa was one of the worst dishes I 've ever tried, with the chicken being undercooked and finding a black hair on her styrofoam plate. My seco de carne was ehhh and would not recommend. 10/10 would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Peruvian food is one of my favorites and this was one of the most subpar Peruvian places I have ever been to. Hoping I didn 't get sick from eating here. Eat here at your own risk.

I 'm not one to normally complain about a restaurant, even if the service was bad. But this was some of the worst food and service I have ever experienced. Don 't eat here if you don 't want to run the risk of getting sick. I 'm worried I might get a foodborne illness from eating here because the lack of health code quality seemed so poor. I didn 't even take more than one bite of my chaufa de pollo because there was a long black hair on top of my food and on the edge of the styrofoam plate that was completely obvious as soon as you looked at the plate. The woman who cooked it should have seen it when she set it down, but that shows how little they care about what they 're serving. She didn 't wash her hands before she put on her gloves (gross! , and I 'm pretty sure the food was warmed up in a microwave. Their menu is very limited and not all of it is authentic Peruvian food. The whole restaurant was hot, like they hardly use the A/C and the restaurant didn 't feel clean. Our food was only mildly warm. My chicken didn 't appear cooked all the way through and the fried rice wasn 't even close to being fried. Thankfully the egg looked cooked. It was probably a good thing none of the food was hot as it probably would have melted the styrofoam plates it was served on. Only the two empanadas were ordered were decent because they were served piping hot. They have a credit card machine but claimed that it 's broken so we needed to pay in cash, although on here it says they only accept cash. We made the mistake of not looking this place up on Yelp before we went in and ordered, and I will never make that mistake again. I threw away all of the fried rice with chicken I ordered, and ate some of my boyfriend 's food that appeared to be cooked all the way through. But needless to say, I ate it because I was super hungry and not because it was at all quality. The potatoes and rice were room temperature, the only thing hot on his plate was the meat, so it seemed safe to eat, as long as the cook wasn 't sick. The two people working there didn 't stop by our table to see if everything was quality, it 's not like they take pride in their work anyways. Should have gotten my money back, but I didn 't feel like arguing with them or wasting more time and energy in that place. Cheers to hoping I don 't spend the next 48 hours getting sick from a poor choice of restaurant!
