Del Taco - Kennesaw

Cam for Taco Tuesday and was impressed by the service. The two college children before me ordered 60!! tacos so that I had to wait a minute for them to edit this order, but the staff did a great job by them to churning and made sure I was noticed! The manager also thanked me, and the other guests in line, for our patience. I think we just waited a few minutes. Our order came brightening as soon as it was our turn, and the food quality was great. Not all taco places are the same, and you can absolutely try the quality here. Inside was clean and well lit, with many available seating.

Ordered a #1 meal from an obvious new hire at the counter. He had to step away to get the supervisor to go over it with him...and then forgot to give me my drink. The tacos were okay. The fries had been cooked awhile. They were warm, but not really good. Additionally they were having a problem with their drink machine that wasn't repaired over the weekend (according to the supervisor). Water had saturated the mat in front of the machine, and w as s starting to run all over the place. Wet floor signs were put up but that flooring is a BAD choice we then mixed with water. My foot slipped out from under me and I've been walking on restaurant floors for about 10 years of my life. I ordered around 11:15. The floor was all tracked up. Looked like it hadn't been mopped since the evening shift from the night before. Doubt there would have been enough of a crowd that early in the day to make it look that bad. I've eaten Del Taco in the past (Woodstock) and enjoyed it. But this wasn't a good restaurant. The health score was 96 though; that was encouraging.

The order was accurate, and the food was served hot. The staff was fantastic during the drive-thru experience. It was brilliant to pair fries with a taco combo—whoever came up with that idea is a genius! The fries were excellent.

I ordered the soft shell tacos with shrimp and chicken. Both options were fresh and delicious. The drive-thru service was a bit slow, especially since I was the only car waiting, but the food was worth it.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent—slightly pricey, but it was served hot and tasted great!
