Upgraded and brightened up the bar and dining area. Locals missing from bar, I assume the prices are a little higher. Food was good. Seafood risotto had muscles instead of scallops, but delicious. Chowder was a bit sparse and not hot. All in all want to keep coming back after decades.
We have lived in Maine for 20 years and THIS is the place to go for awesome food. We go at least 3 times a year, twice in summer and once for Prelude. I am crushed that they aren't open all year round. The lobster Mac and cheese is to die for and my newest love is the seafood risotto! My husband, who doesn't like seafood, loves the burgers! And my brother in law is vegan and they have lots of selections for him too. When the locals eat here all the time, you know it's good! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options. A family member is vegan and enjoys the food very much. Parking: Parking costs vary by season. Free during Prelude and usually a cost during fhe summer
Disappointing, my wife and I visit this restaurant twice a year when we stay in Kennebunkport it has always been good. But this time not so much. We visited on Saturday May 11th 2024 we had called and put our name in early so when we got there our table would be ready in a few minutes but they had no idea who we were and we ended up waiting 45 minutes. We got the upstairs which was nice. My wife ordered the Fish Called Wanda and I got the fried Full Belly clams. They came out really dark like the oil hadn't been changed I mentioned it to the waiter who just shrunk It Off my wife has been dealing with an upset stomach since she ate there on Saturday night not sure why the oil would be old when they just recently opened but like I said I heard other customers complaining about how dark everything was coming out as well disappointing for sure because we usually like to go here
Our family has loved Alisson's for 30 years. Used to Love the pizza, haddock, burgers and salads. Have been with larger groups twice since the renovation... everyone agreed the food was not on par with the past. Salad was not fresh, burgers were way too well done even sent back first one and second was just as bad although they did comp it). The menu is limited to high carb options stuffed this and breaded that) only healthy dish was salmon which was good. On the upside great friendly staff and they have good new Mezcal drink options.. so few good quality pubs left to eat in kennebunk. Bummer... Hopefully things will get better.
