Brothers' Cafe - Kenai

I had the best chai tea latte I've ever tasted—homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The breakfast plate was average, featuring eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, and hash browns. It wasn't the best I've had, but it wasn't the worst either. Overall, the breakfast drinks are exceptional, while the breakfast plate is reminiscent of IHOP.

They claim to have the best donuts in town, but a nearby roadside coffee shack serves up better donuts at a much more reasonable price. I spent nearly $30 on just six donuts! Simple math shows that a dozen would cost a staggering $60. What a ridiculous price! Additionally, their location in the airport is quite inconvenient. If anyone knows how to make great donuts and is based in the Soldotna/Kenai area, there’s a great opportunity to thrive, especially after the closure of the beloved Moose is Loose bakery, which left a significant gap in the community when the owners retired.

This charming cafe at Kenai Municipal Airport offers tasty burgers, breakfast options, donuts, and pies. Keep in mind that service can be slow when it’s busy, so it’s best not to order grilled items close to your flight departure time. The cafe has a nice atmosphere with large windows providing views of the runway and boarding area for regional flights from Grant Aviation, Kenai Aviation, and Ravn Alaska. Due to the limited number of tables, seating for table service may be scarce during peak times. It seems to be a popular casual dining spot for locals who aren't flying, especially during national holidays when other restaurants in the area are closed.

Friendly service. Ordered chicken sandwich, chicken strip basket and some fries for my kids. The chicken sandwich was a tough, rubbery texture and seemed unlike any chicken I've ever seen. We couldn't eat it. I told the waitress about it and sent it back but there was no offer to remove the price of the sandwich from our bill even though we could not eat it. Just disappointing when things are so expensive everywhere these days. We never eat out and this one time we did and then we can't even eat the food. Fries were way too salty for our preference. Won't be going go back, unfortunately.

I really like this place. They have great food for breakfast and lunch. The portions are large and they make espresso coffee AND have donuts! I highly recommend giving them a try.
