Last night I felt like pizza. This simple desire is not so easy to realize in many cities – and so in Kempen – how many companies that call themselves Pizzeria are in fact only delivery services, possibly with three tables, but are better suited to waiting for self-servants than for restaurant guests. The Internet didn't really keep me up with my pre-selection, but at least I found two gastronomic facilities that seemed to be worth a closer look, even if the company had already received some pretty negative reviews in the old city ring. The personal appearance gave me no help for the decision, and so I left the old town and went through the Kuhtor to Kerkener Straße. And there I found a piece from the city the small pizzeria, a little back from the street, with a large parking lot before. Operation When I was not noticed first, the only visible employee was deepened into an intensive conversation with two customers waiting for their food to take away. Of the ten tables, two were occupied, so I was looking for a free table in the background of the guest room and took place. Shortly afterwards I was raised from behind and greeted, the young waiter had come through a door in my back. He gave me the menu and asked if I had a drink request. And I told him he took him up and disappeared. Now it turned out that the young man was probably still in the learning phase, the cartridge, which has now also emerged from the back space, carried out his actions and had to correct several times. Nevertheless, the waiter remained friendly and also asked for understanding that he was still very uncertain. He also worked in the service made her tasks quiet and inconspicuous, had a friendly word for every guest and also had time for one or other small chat with regular guests. Food and drink The house offers according to its own statement the “fine Italian cuisine as classic pizzeria”, the menu includes several pizza and pasta varieties different risotti as well as some meat and fish dishes. After my feeling of hunger I chose “Calzone Speciale, filled with hints of salami, fresh mushrooms, tuna and egg” (9,00 €). In addition, I had ordered a yeast white beer (0.5l for 3.50 €). After a reasonable waiting period, determined by some food pickers waiting in the forecourt, the young waiter served a plate with a very large dough bag. It was well baked, but it only had small black spots. I've experienced this kind of dough bags quite differently... The incision was easily possible so that the dough did not crack hard. The filling consisted of the components mentioned in the card and was delicious and well seasoned. For me one of the best versions of a calzone I've ever eaten. And I was also tired of this very well filled dough bag. The pizza oven is openly visible in the front space behind the vault, the two rooms are optically separated from each other by arcades. On rectangular floor tiles stood chairs and tables of dark wood, the seat and back cushions of the chairs were made of artificial leather alternately in cream and light brown. On the tabletops there were only place decks also in brown, with a tealight in a ceramic lamp and two flower chairs in a vase. Walls and blankets were painted in broken white, in the back guest room were two large-format black and white pictures of Sophia Loren and a male actor I did not recognize. Cleanliness The guest room was perfectly clean and well maintained, with dishes, glasses and cutlery there was also no reason to criticise. I didn't visit the toilets, I can't make a statement.

Very good pizza price TOP! Currently only for taking/delivery or ordering, no seats. Delivery takes (of course) longer than pickup, but is very reliable! You're welcome.
