Yamas Restaurant - Kelowna

The last time here was 6 years ago. Glad we came back as the food is still delicious. I did the chicken souvlaki. The girls shared 4 of the appetizers. Everybody was happy.

First time visiting here and our family had an amazing experience. Staff were friendly and super nice. Most importantly the food was amazing. I’ve been to many Greek restaurants and this one is definitely one of the better quality restaurants I’ve been to. The roast lamb was just perfect as it just melted in your mouth. The calamari dinner and kids souvlaki was just as great.We were there for my toddler’s birthday and they also gave us a complimentary dessert to top things off. Great experience overall and we’ll definitely come back again.

Every time we wanted to eat something good we 'd say let’s order from yamas, but not anymore. The last time I called and ordered takeout, they didn’t have our order ready. When we got there they said we don 't have your order and they had to look through their junk papers to find our order, so they said you have to wait. I was upset but we waited till it got ready. When we took our food home, we saw that the lamb was so rare that I had to cook it again to make it edible, even though we like mid-rare this was still baa ing! So for those reasons, I gave the food 2 and the service 1 star.

There's a reason this place has been around for decades. I've recently started going here again and the food is consistent, delicious, and plentiful. The servers are all really friendly and not overbearing. The prices are very reasonable as well, especially considering the plate you get.10/10, will be returning. Likely in the next month!

We haven't been back to Yamas in 3 years but it was just as we remembered it, incredible food and amazing service.Our server knew there was another large party being served. So when she saw my 1.5yr old toddler she offered to bring out rice for her right away so she could have something to eat while we waited. Thoughtful!While the food took longer than usual, we didn't notice at all because the server came frequently to refill our water and pop. When it finally came it was hot and delicious. I missed those lemon potatoes!When we left, the server gave us a box of Ekmek to enjoy as dessert. What a pleasant surprise and amazing experience. We were so full from the large portions from dinner that we had to eat it the next day.Go here for fantastic food and service!
