Contribuiți la feedbackI had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The sushi, hot dishes, and desserts were all delicious and much better than I expected. The service was incredibly quick, the restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the menu on iPads was a nice touch. It's a great place for family dinners, hanging out with friends, or entertaining clients. I highly recommend it!
This is the best all-you-can-eat (AYCE) experience I've had in Canada. You order using an iPad, so there are no mistakes. The dining experience is very classy and doesn't feel like a typical AYCE restaurant. They offer high-quality Chinese and Japanese dishes served in small plates, almost like Asian tapas. The sashimi fish was top-notch, especially considering the location in Kelowna. The butter fish was a dense and flavorful fatty fish that I had never tried before, but I thought it was really good. The salmon was fresh and had a nice marbling. The Albacore was a bit dry for my taste. The Chinese dishes, such as curry fried rice, broccoli beef, and noodle dishes, were delicious. The tempura was exceptional, on par with many upscale restaurants I've dined at. The batter on the shrimp, calamari, scallops, and sweet potato had a light crunch. The fried milk was a unique dish, like fried custard. The fried banana and sesame seed rolls were good, but we added mango ice cream for extra flavor. The meal was well worth the $37 price tag. Additionally, they have a well-stocked Asian grocery.
Recently moved from the lower mainland to the Okanagan and I was worried we wouldn’t be able to find a good AYCE sushi spot, but when we came across Tokyo One it did not disappoint! Food is great every time we go, almost always tasting fresh. We have had a few misses with the real crab, but the sashimi is always delicious. We love that there’s so limit on how much you can order! My favourite is the curry chicken fried rice, gyoza, pizza, and cones. My partner loves the rainbow roll, and sashimi we honestly go just for the salmon. The service is always quick, and friendly. There seems to always be big tables when we go, so a good spot for groups. Bonus points, they have an awesome little market attached and it has some things I love and had a hard time finding since I’ve moved. The only ‘con’ is that it can be quite pricey, around $100 for 2 with a tip and a drink. Usually what we order pays for itself though! We’ve made this a regular spot for a dining out, you probably will too!
Tokyo1 is extraordinary! Their All You Can Eat dinner menu is sooo worth the money. For $38/person, you get your money's worth very easily, as the dishes you can get are typically $15-20+ per plate at other restaurants. The fancy and expensive $28 sushi you normally order from restaurants, are available on Tokyo1's AYCE menu. Plus, my partner and I eat about 45 mussels each every time we come for dinner. That would be quite the bill at another seafood restaurant! We've tried nearly every menu item, and they are all supremely delicious! The staff are attentive and kind. The ambiance is cozy, yet elevated. They use an iPad as an ordering system, which is endlessly rad and convenient. They even opened up a small Japanese treats and goodies shop within the restaurant this past month, which is adorable, and filled with items that are impossible to find in Kelowna. Tokyo1 is our go-to dinner date spot!
An incredible place, everything is amazing from food to price. The staff is nice. This place offers a lot of options. Definitely recommend the grilled mussels.
