Okanagan Grocery Artisan Breads

This has a great selection of artisan sourdough breads. Their croissants are great. The store is quite small but they are great at what they focus on making. I question the complaints about the service. I have never had a bad experience here. Plus how hard is it to choose bread or a cinnamon bun and pay for your food?!?

We have stopped in to explore the cheese and bread options a few times. We have usually enjoyed the cheese choices but were disappointed on the last visit. Also purchased some hummous and we would not buy it again.The staff was disinterested.The bread and dog cookies are good!

I was really surprised at my experience here after reading all the good reviews, but I guess most reviews were about the bread and not the quality of service. I went here after reading Trip Advisor recommendations hoping to pick up some bread and dip for a picnic. Service- I wasn't acknowledged by either of the girls working at any point while I was in the shop, and I was the only patron there until I went to the check out counter. No one asked if I found what I was looking for, said thank you for my patronage, or wished me a good day. I think the only words spoken were by myself saying "have a great weekend." Usually small business rely on word of mouth referrals, so customer service goes a long way in a person wanting to come back and spend their hard earned money on a $5+ loaf of bread. Food/Products-This is their saving grace.... I purchased the Black Pepper and Asiago loaf and another loaf that had garlic, cheese, olives (pits still in! Just a heads up), and artichokes. The pepper Asiago twist was a little dry, but the other was delicious. We also picked up a goat cheese mousse that had caramelized onions and red wine, this was soooo good! They had a good selection of breads, lots of rustic loafs I would definitely try. It isn't cheap by any means but they do have some unique items that I would go back to try.So if you want a good loaf of bread, to try something that is local and different, but can brush off the "too good for you attitude" I'd say give this place a shot. Otherwise Cobs has equity good choices :)

Great products. Organic wheat. Nice staff. Lotsa butter where in the croissants. Pretzels on Wednesday. My favorite is the savory scones and the middle eastern flatbread.

My wife, the navigator, has always said we find the best things when she gets us lost. Yesterday she was right again. We found The Table at Godfathers and enjoyed some the best fish and chips ever. I have searched for the ultimate fish and chips for more years than I care to remember and The Table is right up there with the best. Ross, the owner, is friendly and chatty and certainly adds to the experience. Be back soon.
