Contribuiți la feedbackOur food took over an hour to arrive. My dish, the salmon, was quite good, but my wife’s mushroom ravioli was rather disappointing. It’s clear that the restaurant is facing staffing issues, which is puzzling given the nice venue. Additionally, I would suggest installing ceiling fans on the patio. It was extremely hot, and there was no airflow throughout our dinner.
To be honest, this place offers stunning views, but it falls short in terms of experienced staff and the quality of its wine and menu choices. Tourists may continue to flock here due to their lack of awareness, but I doubt that locals will return more than once. The new menu rolled out today and unfortunately misses the mark in several aspects. Charging $30 for a simple green salad? Really? Additionally, what’s advertised on their website doesn’t match what’s offered in-house, such as the happy hour times. Lastly, there aren’t many shareable options available if you're not a fan of faux-meat dishes. I hope they address these issues soon, but honestly, there are better, less touristy wineries to explore in Kelowna.
We arrived at the restaurant after our 11 AM wine tasting tour and were told we would have to wait an hour for a table, which seemed strange since the place was mostly empty. After being seated at 2 PM, we were given warm water and left unattended for about 30 minutes before the server came to take our order. Out of our group of six, five of us chose the beef bourguignon. We then waited nearly 10 minutes, only for the server to return and inform us that they were out of beef bourguignon. How does a restaurant with just five main course options run out of beef? Disappointed, we decided to leave and went to Brookside Grill, where we received much better and quicker service along with a variety of tasty menu choices.
We waited an hour for a table and then an additional 30 minutes before anyone came to take our orders. After 15 more minutes, we were informed that they didn’t have the main dish we ordered (beef). The restaurant was nearly empty, which makes it hard to understand why they were out of one of only four main courses.
The ordering process here is a bit unusual, as you place your order at the front and then they bring the food to your table. It seemed like they were understaffed during my visit. However, the food was delicious, and the view was quite lovely.
