From outside, they expect nothing other than standard pub food with an salad option for vegans. it turned out to be a hard decision to make with several tasty options.

During our stay in the region placid am see we always enjoy a stop to baxter mountain tavern. they have several vegan and vegetarian options standard on their menu, great beer on tap and impeccable service. we also love the rustic atmosphere and the mountain views – a hidden gem right in front of the beaten away!

I don't care that it's not completely vegan to have these many vegan options in this area, was a blessing for a vegan who just wandered and exhausted the mount marcy.

No, the place is not vegan (what is why I can give it no more than three stars), but they at least make one attempt that is more than they can logically ask in the northern adirondacks. we had the double beyond burger (two times as good as a one beyond burger and the black bohnenburger, along with a few sides of vegetables that were not ruined with butter. Unfortunately we could not try the vegan curry; next time! to pack in: good eating, very good service and really great beer. again a worthy ADK spot!

The restaurant has really evolved over time! Despite its unassuming appearance from the outside, it now offers more than just typical pub fare, including a salad option for vegans. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of delicious choices available, making it difficult to decide on just one.
